Avoid Parking Wars at Denver International Airport

Thursday, 12 May 2011 03:56 by Mandy
Denver airport parking has been known as being the weak link in an otherwise smooth travel system.  Airports have often been built without the proper consideration for those who want to park their cars, but that is now a thing of the past!  These are some ways that you can avoid parking wars at any airport and at Denver’s newest location, Canopy Airport Parking.
Arrive Early
It may sound like common sense, but it is important to arrive to the airport early.  When you are running late it seems that everything goes wrong and you could end up stressed out and missing your flight.  Instead, plan to arrive in plenty of time to get to your gate.  Allow a few extra minutes to account for traffic and other unavoidable things that could occur.  Don’t forget to book your airport parking ahead to save time and money.
Know Where to Go
Learn the lay of the land at your local airport.  You’ll want to know the parking areas for both long and short term parking options.  For Denver International Airport, take note of Canopy Airport Parking which has quick shuttle service, free newspapers, muffins, and coffee!  Knowing where to go will help you get there much more quickly and efficiently.  Use an online map to find the best route to take and which exit to use.  Learn the latest information about road construction in the area so you can avoid it.  Do the same with traffic.  When possible, try to arrive at the airport before or after rush hour so you won’t have to spend all your time sitting on the road.
Choose the Best Parking Option
You can often avoid the jam-packed airport lot by opting instead for an offsite parking lot. The offsite lot lets you park before getting into airport traffic that can stress you out and make you late.  Offsite parking is usually quite a bit less expensive than the airport lot and is more convenient.  A shuttle will quickly take you right to the terminal door to give you hassle-free parking.
Reserve and Pay in Advance
Choose a parking lot that lets you pay in advance like Canopy Airport Parking.  You’ll be able to make a reservation to be sure that you’ll have a place to park when you arrive.  Pay for part or all of your parking before you arrive so you won’t have to stop to pay.  Whether you’ll be gone for a day or a week you’ll be able to make a reservation for convenient parking.
Use Valet Parking
One of the best ways to get away from the stress of parking at the airport is by using valet parking.  A valet will be ready to take your car, leaving you ready to go directly to the terminal.  You won’t need to worry about searching for a parking space or driving around endlessly waiting for someone to leave so you can take their spot.  Instead, you’ll enjoy a stress-free parking experience.
Easy Exit
Part of finding a good parking spot is the ability to easily get out when you’re ready to leave.  Using a lot that is offsite lets you quickly and easily get out of the traffic of the airport area and get home much more quickly.  You’ll be able to be out and onto the street in a flash without any problems.  Let Canopy Airport Parking take care of your next travel for Denver airport parking!

Tips for Your Cruise Ship Parking

Wednesday, 4 May 2011 02:59 by Mandy
Have you decided that a cruise would be the perfect vacation for you this spring or summer? Cruises are a great way to enjoy an affordable vacation for you and your family. However, one thing that many people do not consider when they will be going on a cruise is the actual transportation to the cruise ship. If you are driving yourself there, then you will have to determine what to do with your vehicle during that time. Unfortunately, this is the last thing that many people think about, but it should be one of the first ones since you will be leaving your vehicle alone for an extended period of time.
Here are some tips and options you will have for your cruise ship parking
The Cruise Owned Lot
Of course, most cruise companies provide parking in their own lot for customers  This may be the most convenient option since it will be located right on the property and you will only have to walk a few steps to the docks and the ship. The downside to this, though, is that most cruise owned parking lots will charge a fairly high fee. If you are looking for ways to save money, then the cruise owned parking lot may be more than you can afford.
The Private Parking Area
Many cities offer a plethora of privately owned parking areas that are much more affordable than any other option like San Diego cruise ship parking. These parking centers can charge by the day and by the week, and when it comes to the cost of parking your vehicle for a week or two, this could definitely be the discounted option. The only downside is that you will not have as much security as you would in a different type of parking area. You may be risking damage to your vehicle, especially since you could be leaving the car for an extended time.
The City Owned Garage
Cities often offer parking garages that provide a great deal of security for your vehicle. These parking garages will be more expensive than a private garage, but often less expensive than a cruise owned lot. You can usually get a weekly parking pass that will save you more money. The downside to these types of garages is that they may be quite a distance from your cruise location and you may have to walk a ways with your luggage.
When it comes to planning your cruise, be sure that you do not forget to plan what you will be doing with your vehicle. Often, people do not think about this simply because they are focusing on the planning for the cruise itself. However, you will need to make sure your vehicle is safe and sound for the extent of your cruise. You will have different options for parking, and you will need to find a balance between safety of your vehicle and cost. Visit online sites that will give you more information about the city you are visiting so that you can find parking options and then compare those costs to the fees that your cruise would charge to park in their own lot.
