Top 5 Ways to Improve Traveling

Tuesday, 14 June 2011 01:13 by Mandy
Traveling can be stressful and tiring, especially if you’re not properly organized for it. If you want to make travel less stressful and more fun, follow these 5 ideas for making travel easier.

Prepare

One of the worst things you can do is show up at the airport without the proper expectations.  If you are aware of the procedures ahead of time you can often avoid long waits and extra security checks. Check with your airline to find out the current rules and regulations that must be followed.  It’s much better to plan for these rules than to find out after you arrive for your flight.   If your airline allows only one carry-on and you need to bring more, consider sending your belongings through a package delivery service and never forget to reserve your airport parking early.  Don't be caught waisting time searching lots for a space.

Pack

Proper packing will help improve your entire trip.  Not only will it make travel easier, but it will also ensure that you have everything you need.  Make a list and stick to it.  Keep everything neatly organized so that your suitcase will be easy to use.  Utilize clear plastic bags to keep small items neat while traveling.  Don’t stuff your suitcase too full.  Keep in mind that the bag may need to be opened and looked at by security.  Bring a carry-on with some basic toiletries and other essentials that you may need if the flight is delayed.  Use only small sized bottles that are within the TSA standards.

Park

Consider making a parking reservation.  You’ll be assured of having a place to park without having to drive around a crowded lot looking for a space to open up.  An offsite lot is a good option because it’s not only convenient, but it’s also less expensive than using the airport lot.  You’ll also be able to pre-pay if you would like and can utilize a valet to make parking even easier.  The last thing you want to do is end up stressed out when you arrive at the airport due to parking problems.

No Stress

Face it, travel is going to include a lot of wait time.  You’ve got to get to the airport early but then you’ll be sitting around with nothing to do.  To stay calm, bring some things to keep you busy while you’re waiting.  Your computer or iPod are useful since the airport will have a WiFi connection you can use.  Bring a book to read or grab a puzzle book to do while waiting.  If you are traveling with children, be sure to bring plenty of things that they can do to stay busy.  handheld games and music devices are both good options for kids and teens.

Keep in Touch

Use a cell phone app or phone call to stay in touch with your airline.  You’ll be able to find out whenever there is a change to the schedule.  Before leaving for the airport in the morning, call the airline to be sure your flight is on time.  Some airlines offer apps that give you up-to-date info on their arrivals and departures as well as weather conditions.

Finding Convenient Airport Parking

Tuesday, 24 May 2011 02:59 by Mandy
Airport parking is often crowded and difficult to manage.  You can spend too much time trying to locate a parking space only to find that you’ve got about a mile to walk to get to the terminal.  Instead, there is another option that is much more convenient.
Offsite Airport Parking
Offsite parking is an option that many people don’t think about when going to the airport.  The offsite lot has many features that make it a great choice for those who drive to the airport especially for busy airports like finding LAX parkingJFK parking, or DIA parking.  These lots are located slightly away from the airport.  While this may seem like an inconvenience to some, it is actually a nice convenience feature. You won’t need to drive all the way into the airport terminal areas, which are typically crowded and full of traffic.  Instead, you’ll be able to drive to the lot that’s located where it’s easy to access.
Location
Offsite parking lots are typically located on the outskirts of the airport.  They are almost always near a major road or highway, making it easy to get to no matter where you’re coming from.  You’ll avoid traffic jams so you’ll save time.  The location is also well situated for getting out.  Once you get back to your vehicle you’ll be able to scoot right out onto the road without sitting in airport traffic. You’ll have access to a convenient shuttle to get you right to the terminal door.
Reservation
Offsite parking lots may offer the ability to make reservations online such as Airport Parking Connection.  This convenience option is perfect for those who travel a lot.  You can make a reservation far in advance so you’ll always be assured of having a parking spot when you need it.  You’ll be able to fill out an online form that lets you choose the day and time of both arrival and departure.  You will never need to waste time driving around aimlessly looking for a parking spot.  Instead, you’ll have a parking spot just waiting for you.
Valet Parking
You can often have access to valet parking.  This lets you get in and out to the terminal as quickly as possible.  Just drop your car off and get to your flight.  Valet parking doesn’t cost much more than standard parking and is quite convenient, particularly when it’s raining or cold outside.  You can make a reservation for valet parking as well as standard parking so you will have an attendant available when you arrive.  A valet makes leaving easy, too.  When you’re tired from your trip the last thing you want to do is walk all the way to your car.
Cost Savings
Using an offsite parking lot is usually a lot less expensive than parking at the airport lot.  There aren’t any hidden fees that are often tacked onto airport parking.  Instead, you’ll find that the prices for using offsite lots are much more affordable.  You’ll also have the option to pre-pay for your parking so you won’t need to take the time to pay when you get your car.  You may also get some additional savings by reserving your parking online.

Avoid Parking Wars at Denver International Airport

Thursday, 12 May 2011 03:56 by Mandy
Denver airport parking has been known as being the weak link in an otherwise smooth travel system.  Airports have often been built without the proper consideration for those who want to park their cars, but that is now a thing of the past!  These are some ways that you can avoid parking wars at any airport and at Denver’s newest location, Canopy Airport Parking.
Arrive Early
It may sound like common sense, but it is important to arrive to the airport early.  When you are running late it seems that everything goes wrong and you could end up stressed out and missing your flight.  Instead, plan to arrive in plenty of time to get to your gate.  Allow a few extra minutes to account for traffic and other unavoidable things that could occur.  Don’t forget to book your airport parking ahead to save time and money.
Know Where to Go
Learn the lay of the land at your local airport.  You’ll want to know the parking areas for both long and short term parking options.  For Denver International Airport, take note of Canopy Airport Parking which has quick shuttle service, free newspapers, muffins, and coffee!  Knowing where to go will help you get there much more quickly and efficiently.  Use an online map to find the best route to take and which exit to use.  Learn the latest information about road construction in the area so you can avoid it.  Do the same with traffic.  When possible, try to arrive at the airport before or after rush hour so you won’t have to spend all your time sitting on the road.
Choose the Best Parking Option
You can often avoid the jam-packed airport lot by opting instead for an offsite parking lot. The offsite lot lets you park before getting into airport traffic that can stress you out and make you late.  Offsite parking is usually quite a bit less expensive than the airport lot and is more convenient.  A shuttle will quickly take you right to the terminal door to give you hassle-free parking.
Reserve and Pay in Advance
Choose a parking lot that lets you pay in advance like Canopy Airport Parking.  You’ll be able to make a reservation to be sure that you’ll have a place to park when you arrive.  Pay for part or all of your parking before you arrive so you won’t have to stop to pay.  Whether you’ll be gone for a day or a week you’ll be able to make a reservation for convenient parking.
Use Valet Parking
One of the best ways to get away from the stress of parking at the airport is by using valet parking.  A valet will be ready to take your car, leaving you ready to go directly to the terminal.  You won’t need to worry about searching for a parking space or driving around endlessly waiting for someone to leave so you can take their spot.  Instead, you’ll enjoy a stress-free parking experience.
Easy Exit
Part of finding a good parking spot is the ability to easily get out when you’re ready to leave.  Using a lot that is offsite lets you quickly and easily get out of the traffic of the airport area and get home much more quickly.  You’ll be able to be out and onto the street in a flash without any problems.  Let Canopy Airport Parking take care of your next travel for Denver airport parking!
