Located six miles west of the central business district of Tampa, you will find Tampa International Airport. Tampa International is known widely for its attractive design and architecture.
The initial design and ingenuity of a transit system that would connect to a central terminal was essentially the first to be designed like the spoke of a wheel. As the years continued, Tampa International Airport never stopped adding to their already sterling facility. Today you will find everything from a hotel, new food facilities, to a new runway and wind-shear detection system. If you are a football fan, back in 1976 Tampa International leased land to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for training.
